AF fine tune is there to calibrate the phase detect system only. It's also absolutely accurate with any lens once it (finally) gets there. Video) because phase detect can't work then. Sometimes, that can just seem confusing but I think they are trying to emphasise they are different.Ĭontrast detection allows you to focus with the mirror up (e.g. Because of the fundamental differences between the systems, Nikon gives different names to the focus modes in Liveview. You can choose different modes for the live view contrast system but, bottom line, none of them are as fast as the phase detect system that operate while using the viewfinder. This system can work out which way to focus without hunting. 3D) further coupled with colour data from the matrix metering sensors. This is the hunting you will see and that's what makes it comparatively slow The view finder system uses a completely different array of 153 phase detect sensors that receives light from the mirrors and that data is, in some modes (e.g. The live view measures contrast of image from the image sensor and spends time shifting lens elements to see if the image is moving into or out of focus. The live view focus system is completely different from the through viewfinder system. The simple answer is that you can't (get it to focus quickly enough in Liveview that is). This would be a huge benefit for new angles that presently I have to intelligently guess. I have tried adjusting the focus points, etc. When I press the shutter release, the camera searches the view area to focus. How can I leverage LiveView to shoot, for instance, a bicycle race at CL or CH? I can't seem to get it to focus quickly enough. Overall, my main problems are Fire types, an unfulfilled sixth team slot filled by Latias (any possible replacement needs to be ground immune unless I end up using Gliscor, and have hazard removal), inability to properly use Garchomp, and trouble with physical attackers. Garchomp never gets a good chance to set up, and is usually the first one to go down, and the team needs either better support for Garchomp, or a replacement for him most likely something bulkier like Gliscor. They also both have a specially defensive EV spread, so my team has trouble with heavy physical attackers. As I mentioned before, my defensive core struggles with Fire and Ground types. I’ve experimented with this team, and it works pretty well, however I have noticed a number of problems. I don’t think Latias is essential for my team, but it was the best I could find. Apart from that, the set is pretty standard. I decided to stray from the original Smogon set because it wasn’t dealing enough damage with only attacks, so I used Toxic. This guy is also a useful Fire resist and can freely switch into Earthquakes. I also feel very insecure with only one hazard remover. Lastly, he learns Energy ball to better check Ground-types like Gastrodon.Įven with Tornadus, My team still has a hard time standing up to powerful Ground-types like Garchomp, Landorus, Gliscor and the like. Thirdly, Xurkitree’s Special Attack is much, much higher, and Beast Boost can be used to snowball and even break through thick, resistant opponents. Secondly, he counters things like Greninja better, since your opponent always knows a Tapu Koko will out speed their Greninja, but won’t be so fast to switch out of something they may be able to outspeed and KO, like Xurkitree (which they can’t because of his scarf). Firstly, he is faster with a Choice Scarf. I chose Xurkitree over Tapu Koko for my fast electric type for a number of reasons. Choice Scarf Xurkitree fits pretty well on my team, since it handles Steel/Flying-types and most other physical walls (especially the omnipresent bulky Water-types) for Garchomp, as well as contributing to all the pivoting my team does with Volt Switch. Xurkitree is the most unlikely pick for my team, but I noticed that its base 83 Speed was more than enough for a scarfer, so I decided to use him as speed control. String cutters run on gas, electricity, or battery each type has its own best use. Plus, if you hit a rock by accident and the brush cutter is knocked out of your hands, the handlebar acts as a buffer to protect you from the airborne tool.Īs with any bladed machinery, it’s best to wear close-toed shoes, long sleeves and pants along with protective eyewear when using a brush cutter. The handlebars allow for more control and help with smooth and safe operation. Always wear a harness when using a brush cutter to allow you to correctly and safely wield the weight of the machine.Īdditionally, do not use a brush cutter without a handlebar. The weight and power behind brush cutters make them a great tool, but also mean they’re dangerous if not operated properly. These are a better option when you need to cut down smaller portions of land, since they can be exhausting to work with for larger areas due to their weight and the strength needed to properly operate them. Turn to a brush cutter for power and when taking on yard features like saplings. If you’re looking to tend to an area of brush or small trees, or if you’ve got some sturdy growth to tackle, a brush cutter is likely your best option. Use caution when coming at thicker brush or trees, as the machine can produce some kickback.Ĭarefully maintain your brush cutter by sharpening or replacing blades when they become worn – which may happen quickly depending on how much sturdy growth you’re cutting or how many rocks you encounter. Most brush cutters utilize a counterclockwise rotation, so it’s best to move them from right to left when cutting down foliage.ĭo not use a chopping motion but rather a smooth and measured movement. Using them can require some practice because the rotation of the blade impacts the direction they should move. Image Credit: photoschmidt, Shutterstockīrush cutters use a rotating metal blade to chop down vegetation and generally run on gas. In addition to its ability to reach narrower patches of overgrowth, the sturdiness of a brush cutter makes it a great choice for cleaning up areas sprouting more than just grass. The cutting mechanism inside a brush cutter is a metal blade, and there are plenty of exchangeable blades and trimmer heads you can swap out depending on what you’re using the tool for. Before making a purchase, get clear about exactly what you need to achieve and the specs of your ideal tool.īrush cutters are designed to be able to cut through – you guessed it – brush, meaning thicker weeds or even small saplings or tree stems. They each have their own pros and cons and their specific best uses. For those areas, opt for a brush cutter or string trimmer to keep your landscaping looking clean and fresh.Īlthough brush cutters and string trimmers fall into a related category and even look similar, the two tools vary quite a bit. Your lawn mower is great…until you come to that pesky part of the yard where it doesn’t quite reach. If you take 7 levels in one and 3 in the other, your initiator level when you start Eternal Blade would be 8/4, which would qualify you for 4th level and 2nd level maneuvers. Cheese or anything, but I'll aim for heavy optimization. What, they're sending you up against Pun-Pun? Hurr Hurr, okay then. is it possible to cast spells on my Blade Guide? I think so, then Otiluke's (Telekinetic maybe) sphere can be a good protection Last of all I'd prefer a two handed weapon. With the Gestalt levels I know it's possible to be able to be both Lockdown and Crackdown as well, but if he doesn't allow me to pick even Stand Still i think that a Crackdown style of PC is preferrable with some specific lockdown features that do not require save rolls, like WR hammer and such.Ībout the Crusader and Warblade question i think that Devoted spirit deserves it, being a crackdown but being an active support too really makes the difference i think. I want to put the emphasis that he doesn't know much of the ToB and be ready to kick asses. Ībout flaws i know that he can allow me but he must choose which flaws and probably he'd pick some nasty ones( his excuse is that flaws have to be flaws), so i don't know if it's worth it. It's my first ToB PC, sorry if i haven't a clear idea in mind even if I read all about it.įirst, my DM allows me to take 2 prestige classes side by side and change a manuever every 2 levels even when in a PrC beacause it's a veeeery power player champaign ( he and a friend of him created a PC who can take every talent and I presume it will be the final "boss", that's the level more or less ) even if I have to admit he created a hell of a fantastic story ( if you want I can tell about it but it will take a lot). I was even thinking to learn time stand still as Warbande and as Crusader via PrCs to abuse them during Island in time (dunno if it is possible by RAW). i can even use the gestalt levels for templates or races with LA+X Marshall is nice, considering i want to have a focus on WR 'cos my party currently has at least two tanks (i entered the champaign and i quit for job reasons, now i can re-enter but i don't really know much about the current party).Ĭhampion of Corellon Laurethan is a bit meh, but that Superior Defense and Unimpeded Movement attracts me. Mainly i have to deal with undeads, mindflayers and dragons (yes, our DM is a bit of an asshole), i think that a lockdown without sacrificing too much damage output could be great (even if greater divine surge with aura of chaos and that lvl 7th cleric spell i don't remember is still juicy for me ) and being able to have as many manuevers as possible, so i thought that the last 5 lvls would be gestalted with Mo9(if you know better ways to learn manuevers or sinergise with EB i can change that). So either Slic3r is bugged in spiral vase mode, the Prusa firmware is bugged when it comes to spiraling, calibration does not work the way I expect it to, or something has gone terribly wrong. Just to be thorough I have re-sliced it not in spiral vase to see what happens, print's pretty normally. One of these models had the gcode generated by me so if it were a normal slic3r issue I would expect it to be messed up too. List Price: 24.99 Price: 8.95 You Save: 16.04 (64) In Stock. Two of these models came with the printer, so if it were a calibration issue I would expect them to be messed up. What kind of calibration issue would possibly allow me to print everything else, but not allow me to do spiral vase on such a simple model? Try using a different slicer and as you are using a simple vase model try with no special modes selected. Massive ones at that though and I would expect to see the adjustments much smaller if it was a calibration issue so its going to be a gcode/setup issue. TeamViewer offers mass remote deployment, but Pro requires users to physically install the software on each device they'll need to access.īoth services offer software integrations, though TeamViewer again has more functionality, including a hardware integration option to better fit an operation's current IT solutions. This means that one license can be used to allow an endless stream of additional people to remotely access a computer's information - even if they can't set up an online meeting through Pro to talk about it. However, it does offer one useful perk that TeamViewer doesn't: No limit on users. Pro doesn't offer these features, and doesn't appear to consider group collaboration anywhere near a core function of its software. TeamViewer offers far more features designed to help team members work alongside each other when remote: This includes online meetings, online presentations, scheduling, shared calendars, and screen-sharing for up to 15 concurrent users. TeamViewer also tosses in support for Linux, which GoTo's Pro does not offer. Both TeamViewer and Pro by GoTo also offer their own web apps, for online access. Compatibilityīoth remote access applications support the major platforms most businesses and users will require: macOS, Windows, iOS/iPadOS, and Android are supported. TeamViewer also includes access controls and customizable customer modules, which are more valuable tools for a TeamViewer user due to the higher number of devices to manage. Some users have also noted a lag when any employee's software is too old, though this latter issue shouldn't be a problem if everything's kept up-to-date.īoth platforms offer remote control, screen sharing, remote printing, and session recording, all useful core abilities for a remote access solution. The downsides to TeamViewer? The price is a little high for some, partially due to the many add-ons that the service will try to upsell its customers. Desktop sharing, online conferencing, and remote file transfers are all core features, which add up to an impressively comprehensive remote access solution for businesses. All of these features are aimed at helping a company meet its employees' IT needs, even when they're travelling, working from home, or living anywhere around the globe. TeamViewer's biggest benefits lie in its range of features. Another GoTo service, Central, offers a similar service designed for larger companies, with a minimum of 25 computers for its starter plan, priced at $80 per month. The Individuals plan starts at two devices, while the Small Businesses offers the maximum amount, which is just ten devices. This refers to the number of work computers that can be accessed through a single account. The major downside is also clear, and lies in the small amount of managed devices. A small distributed startup can rely on it – the native support for mobile devices makes it easy to use anywhere, letting users access private files and data or proprietary software on their work computer while on the go. The Pro's features all add up to a remote access solution for individuals or small groups that stands out as particularly flexible. So, do you want more users, or more devices to remotely manage? While you're chewing on that question, check out our comparison table. Then again, the Pro includes unlimited users, unlike TeamViewer. However, TeamViewer offers far more remotely-managed devices - between 200 and 500, depending on the plan - compared to Pro, which offers between one and 10. TeamViewer and Pro by GoTo, both offer good features, pricing, and support. Either one might be right for you, depending on your needs. It really does come down to value and the size of your business – and TeamViewer makes sense if you have more users to budget for. So which is best? We've dug in, and found that TeamViewer and Pro are neck and neck on the feature front. Neither would be a bad choice, and now that the pandemic has ushered in what may be a permanent shift towards working from home, remote access software is a booming market. While TeamViewer is one of the best remote access software options for mid-size or larger, more established business, Pro by GoTo (formerly LogMeIn Pro) is a better choice than TeamViewer for small businesses thanks to its cheaper plansfor a lower number of users.īoth Pro and TeamViewer offer top-class features and reassuring security protocols. |
